Topic 1: After watching the documentary "RiP! A Remix Manifesto" I found that as much as we think we have the freedom to express we actually are limited. In the video, it states the music industry music producers and songwriters copyright their beats and symphonies. I'm not a singer or songwriter yet I could see how frustrating it could be for an upcoming artist to not be able to use a beat or lyric idea from the 1980s, even though they might be able to better their work. I don't know a lot about copyright, yet it confuses me because we are supposed to have freedom of speech and expression although most great ideas are copyrighted and cannot be used by other individuals. An instance that comes to mind is when the president of the United States Donald Trump used the phrase ”grab her by the pussy.” He used freedom of speech and political power to freely discriminate women with knowing there will be no consequences. Topic #2: Television Show -"13 Reasons Why" Describe: The Tv show that I picked was 13 Reasons Why. I finished the second season that just came out on May 18th. I finished this season and the last time I watched was June 14th. This is a young adult fiction which typically targets 12-18 years of age. This surprises me due to how vivid and real the stuff they put on screen, which includes suicide, rape, deaths and much more. It does state that half that watch are all adults. I chose to go back and watch another episode to really pay attention and dissect their actions. I rewatched episode 11 of season 2. In this series, a girl committed suicide for numerous reasons, specifically 13. After she passed away she let out 13 tapes of the reasons why and gave it to people to pass it down the line of the people who were on the tapes. Topic 1: The FIFA Worldcup France team uses the sponsor, Adidas. throughout the world cup, Adidas sponsors will be commercialized and published in magazines and all over social media as well. They promote their attire by not only teams wearing their stuff but by commercializing how much better the person wearing their attire is during the Worldcup. This is a great example because France has advanced to the tournament and their main sponsor is Adidas. Adidas has a great way of promoting excellence because approx. 19.1 million viewers watch the world cup. This leads to the target audience of anyone who enjoys soccer and or is wanting to see their country succeed in the sport. This campaign is working because more and more athletes will wear Adidas due to the sponsor outcome of the world cup. You could also promote this product by knowing that teams that didn't succeed in the world cup also wore Adidas which could have led them to be more successful in another brand. Weiss, Richard.

Topic 1: In this weeks forum it asked to name 3 people/organizations/businesses. The first one I chose was on Twitter and was @realDonaldTrump because he is our president and I think I should be aware of any political changes. Even though Twitter isn't the most reliable source it is one something that I get my information from. It's easier for me to access due to the popularity of this social platform. The second one I chose was @KevinHart4real because he never fails to make me laugh and cheer me up on days that don't seem so cheerful. It's awesome to see that somebody that does what he loves so much can be so successful and be a great voice for adolescence. It sets the stage for young children to follow their dream in life. Thirdly I chose to follow @Nike because they have been a huge part of my athletic career. They have been my favorite clothing brand and I like to keep up with their attire.
